Barry Hines Memorial Sculpture

Since the committee formed in 2017 I have been graciously invited to join their journey as their official photographer. What a fantastic journey it has been - from paper to clay to bronze, from tears to joy, Graham Ibbeson's creation has taken form and temporarily on display at Experience Barnsley, Town Hall.

With fantastic support from our local community, we've been able to make a sizable dent in the cost towards making the sculpture a reality. Our most recent events at Penistone Paramount and Dodworth Men's Working Club are a great example of this.
As the journey continues towards its inevitable conclusion, I'll be there to capture it. Keep an eye out for the upcoming book detailing the trials and experiences on the quest to memorialise Barnsley's author, Barry Hines.
